Der Einfluss westlicher Mächte auf verschiedene Aspekte des Lebens auf den Philippinen ist unbestreitbar, und die Auswirkungen auf Musik, Lebensstil und das allgemeine Gemeinschaftsgefühl sind tiefgreifend.
Dennoch besteht die Möglichkeit, die Art und Weise, wie wir diese Realität annehmen, neu zu gestalten.
Die sogenannten Philippinen werden massiv mit westlicher Rhetorik und Ideen bombardiert, die uns durch unser Bildungssystem, die Verfassung, Religion/spirituelle Überzeugungen, die westliche Art der Entwicklung und die Regierungsform aufgezwungen werden.
Zu behandelnde Unterthemen:

* Kampagne gegen den Bergbau
* Vortrag über Dekolonialisierung im Kontext der sogenannten Philippinen
