Gemeinsam mit hunderten Schwarzen Menschen in Deutschland macht Dominik Lucha sichtbar, was im Alltag übersehen oder nicht ernst genommen wird: Rassismus.
Die Ausstellung WAS IHR NICHT SEHT gibt Einblicke in Erfahrungen von Alltagsrassismus, die Schwarze Menschen und People of Color in Deutschland machen. Persönlich, eindrücklich und zugänglich.
Das Projekt entstand im Juni 2020 nach der Ermordung von George Floyd und im Kontext der Black Lives Matter Proteste.
Was als Instagramkanal begann, ist heute eine Plattform mit über 100.000 Follower*innen. Hier können Schwarze Menschen anonym von ihren Erfahrungen mit Rassismus berichten.
Gleichzeitig lädt der Kanal andere Menschen dazu ein zuzuhören, zu reflektieren und sich aktiv gegen Rassismus einzusetzen.
In der Ausstellung werden ausgewählte Erfahrungsberichte als Zitatkacheln gezeigt. Sie machen deutlich: Rassismus in Deutschland ist keine Ausnahme und kein individuelles Einzelschicksal, sondern Teil einer gesellschaftlichen Realität.
WAS IHR NICHT SEHT schafft Raum für Perspektiven, die zu oft unsichtbar bleiben und lädt dazu ein hinzuschauen, zuzuhören und Verantwortung zu übernehmen.

Together with hundreds of Black people in Germany, Dominik Lucha brings to light what is overlooked or not taken seriously in everyday life: racism.
The exhibition WHAT YOU DON’T SEE offers insights into the experiences of everyday racism faced by Black people and people of colour in Germany. Personal, powerful and accessible.
The project was launched in June 2020 following the murder of George Floyd and in the context of the Black Lives Matter protests.
What began as an Instagram channel is now a platform with over 100,000 followers. Here, Black people can anonymously share their experiences of racism.
At the same time, the channel invites others to listen, reflect and take an active stand against racism.
The exhibition features selected personal accounts presented as quote tiles. They make it clear that racism in Germany is neither an exception nor an individual’s personal fate, but rather part of a social reality.
WHAT YOU DON’T SEE creates space for perspectives that all too often remain unseen, and invites visitors to look, listen and take responsibility.
