Was bedeutet deutsche Staatsräson heute — in einer Zeit von Aufrüstung, Militarisierung und globalem Rechtsruck?
Wir sprechen über die ideologischen Ursprünge und materiellen Folgen deutscher Staatsräson:
über Waffenexporte, militärischen Wissenstransfer, Polizeikooperation und die besondere Rolle Israels für eine sich neu formierende deutsche Sicherheits- und Kriegspolitik.
Welche Funktion erfüllt Israel für den deutschen Imperialismus — ideologisch und materiell? Was bedeutet Siedlerkolonialismus, wenn man ihn nicht als Ausnahme, sondern als Teil imperialer Geschichte begreift? Und was folgt daraus für eine Antikriegsbewegung, die Militarisierung, Rassismus und Faschisierung zusammendenkt?
Zugleich fragen wir, wie aus europäischer Antirassismuspolitik eine zunehmend repressive Staatspolitik werden konnte — und warum antikoloniale Kämpfe um Palästina und interessensgeleitete Erinnerungspolitik auch den Blick auf Proteste und Repression hierzulande verändern.

The Berlin Palestine Solidarity Working Group in conversation with Anna Younes and Thomas from the Beau Séjour Action Group.
What does German ‘reason of state’ mean today — in an era of rearmament, militarisation and a global shift to the right?
We discuss the ideological origins and material consequences of German ‘reason of state’:
arms exports, the transfer of military know-how, police cooperation and the special role Israel plays in a newly emerging German security and war policy.
What function does Israel fulfil for German imperialism — ideologically and materially? What does settler colonialism mean when understood not as an exception but as part of imperial history? And what does this imply for an anti-war movement that links militarisation, racism and fascistisation?
At the same time, we ask how European anti-racism policy could have turned into an increasingly repressive state policy — and why anti-colonial struggles over Palestine and interest-driven politics of memory are also changing the way we view protests and repression here in Germany.
