🧨Im Februar wurde das Departement Córdoba in Kolumbien von den Fluten des Sinú-Flusses überschwemmt. Starke Regenfälle und das Fehlen von Notfallprotokollen führten dazu, dass mehr als 140.000 Menschen von den Überschwemmungen betroffen waren.
Die Notlage macht deutlich, dass Katastrophen nicht allein das Ergebnis natürlicher Phänomene sind, sondern auch auf die hohe Gefährdung und Verletzlichkeit der Bevölkerung zurückzuführen sind, die mit strukturellen Faktoren und einer mangelhaften Raumplanung zusammenhängt.
💟Caribeñxs ist eine Organisation, die die Vielfalt der Erfahrungen von Frauen in Bezug auf ihre Geschlechtsidentität, sexuelle Orientierung, ethnische Zugehörigkeit, soziale Schicht und andere Kontexte anerkennt und wertschätzt.
Sie wurde 2018 in Montería, Kolumbien, mit dem Ziel gegründet, dem dringenden Bedarf an Lern- und Aktionsräumen für LBT-Frauen gerecht zu werden.
Sie sind vor Ort in den betroffenen Gebieten tätig und arbeiten gemeinsam mit den Menschen und Familien dort, um Hilfe zu leisten, Unterstützung anzubieten und lebensnotwendige Güter zu verteilen.
🏠Die Mittel fließen in die Nothilfe und die Nachsorge für Einzelpersonen und Familien, die von den Überschwemmungen in Córdoba, Kolumbien, betroffen sind.

🧨In February, the department of Córdoba in Colombia was submerged by the waters of the Sinú River. Heavy rains and the lack of emergency protocols left more than 140,000 people affected by the flooding.
The emergency highlights that disasters are not solely the result of natural phenomena, but also of the population’s high level of exposure and vulnerability, linked to structural factors and poor land-use planning.
💟Caribeñxs is an organization that recognizes and values the diversity of women’s experiences in relation to their gender identity, sexual orientation, race, social class, and other contexts.
It was founded in 2018 in Montería, Colombia, with the aim of addressing the urgent need to create spaces for learning and activism for LBT women.
They have been on the ground in the affected areas, working alongside the people and families there to provide assistance, offer support, and distribute essential supplies.
