KOP Berlin und CopWatch Greece veranstalten im Rahmen des Unframed Festivals im bUm! eine Vorführung des Dokumentarfilms „There Is a War Going on Outside”.
Im Anschluss findet eine Podiumsdiskussion mit Aktivisten statt, die sich gegen rassistische Polizeigewalt in Deutschland und im Ausland engagieren.
„Im Herzen von Athen, Paris und London werden drei junge Leben – Nikos Sabanis, Ibrahima Bah und Chris Kaba – durch Polizeigewalt beendet, was den tief verwurzelten Rassismus innerhalb der europäischen Polizeisysteme offenbart.
Anhand ihrer Geschichten deckt dieser Dokumentarfilm beunruhigende Muster von Racial Profiling und systemischer Ungerechtigkeit auf und verfolgt gleichzeitig den unermüdlichen Kampf um Gerechtigkeit in Gemeinden, die Rechenschaft einfordern.”

KOP Berlin and CopWatch Greece are hosting a screening of the documentary „There Is a War Going on Outside“ as part of the Unframed festival at bUm!
This will be followed by a panel discussion with activists organizing against racist police violence in Germany and abroad.
“In the heart of Athens, Paris, and London, three young lives – Nikos Sabanis, Ibrahima Bah, and Chris Kaba – are cut short by police violence, exposing the deeply entrenched racism within Europe’s policing systems.
Through their stories, this documentary reveals disturbing patterns of racial profiling and systemic injustice, while following the relentless fight for justice in communities demanding accountability.”
