Nach über 30 Jahren Engagement ist es endlich soweit:
Die M*Straße bekommt einen neuen Namen – Anton Wilhelm Amo, ein bedeutender Schwarzer Philosoph des 18. Jahrhunderts, wird geehrt.
Wir feiern gemeinsam diesen historischen Schritt gegen Rassismus und koloniale Kontinuitäten im öffentlichen Raum – mit Musik, Redebeiträgen, Austausch und Sichtbarkeit. ✊🏾✨
Amo steht für Widerstand, Selbstbehauptung und afrodiasporisches Wissen – viel zu lange unsichtbar gemacht. Jetzt bekommt er den Platz, der ihm zusteht.

After more than 30 years of commitment, the time has finally come:
M*Straße is getting a new name – Anton Wilhelm Amo, an important Black philosopher of the 18th century, is being honoured.
We are celebrating this historic step against racism and colonial continuities in public spaces together – with music, speeches, exchange and visibility. ✊🏾✨
Amo stands for resistance, self-assertion and Afro-diasporic knowledge – made invisible for far too long. Now he is getting the place he deserves.
