Vom 6. bis 20. November lädt die Gruppe „La Jaima de Tiris“ zur Ausstellung „50 Jahre Besatzung der Westsahara – 50 Jahre Widerstand“ ein.
Die dreiteilige Ausstellung befasst sich mit dem Widerstand saharauischer Frauen, der Geschichte der Besatzung und den aktuellen politischen Gefangenen.
Wir zeigen die Zeichnungsreihe „Bemerkenswerte sahrauische Frauen“ von Gaëtan Pelatre, welche die Stärke, Entschlossenheit und zentrale Rolle sahrauischer Frauen im Widerstand sichtbar macht – in den Flüchtlingslagern, den besetzten Gebieten und in der Diaspora.
In ihrem Comic „Genug gewartet“ erzählt Fine die Geschichte und Hintergründe der Besatzung auf eine ganz andere eindrückliche Weise. Drucke dieses Comics werden in der Ausstellung zu sehen sein.
Der dritte Teil der Ausstellung widmet sich in vom Verein „Hijas de Sagia“ (Link: TikTok) erarbeiteten Informationsmaterialien der Menschenrechtslage der Gefangenen von Gdeim Izik, dem größten sahrauischen Protestcamp, das 2010 niedergeschlagen wurde. Zu sehen sein werden großformatige Infotafeln der politischen Gefangenen.
Wir wollen durch diese vielfältige Ausstellung Sichtbarkeit anlässlich des 50. Jahrestags der Besatzung der Westsahara schaffen, eine Geschichte des Widerstands erzählen und zur Beschäftigung mit diesem vergessenen Konflikt einladen.
Die Ausstellung ist Teil der bundesweiten „Aktionswochen Westsahara 2025“.

From 6 to 20 November, the group ‘La Jaima de Tiris’ invites you to the exhibition ‘50 Years of Occupation of Western Sahara – 50 Years of Resistance’.
The three-part exhibition deals with the resistance of Sahrawi women, the history of the occupation and the current political prisoners.
We are showing the series of drawings ‘Remarkable Sahrawi Women’ by Gaëtan Pelatre, which highlights the strength, determination and central role of Sahrawi women in the resistance – in the refugee camps, the occupied territories and in the diaspora.
In her comic ‘Enough Waiting’, Fine tells the story and background of the occupation in a very different and impressive way. Prints of this comic will be on display in the exhibition.
The third part of the exhibition is dedicated to the human rights situation of the prisoners of Gdeim Izik, the largest Sahrawi protest camp that was crushed in 2010, with information materials compiled by the association ‘Hijas de Sagia’ (link: TikTok). Large-format information boards about the political prisoners will be on display.
Through this diverse exhibition, we want to raise awareness on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the occupation of Western Sahara, tell a story of resistance and invite people to engage with this forgotten conflict.
The exhibition is part of the nationwide ‘Western Sahara Action Weeks 2025’.
