📣 IJV-Infoveranstaltung – kommt vorbei!
Worum geht’s?

Studienbeiträge werden immer höher, Mensapreise steigen, WG-Kosten sind so hoch wie noch nie und unsere Geldbeutel werden immer leerer.
Studentin zu sein war zwar schon immer teuer, doch wir können beobachten, dass ein Studium für die meisten jungen Menschen immer schwerer zu tragen wird.
Das liegt einerseits an generell steigenden Lebenskosten, wird jedoch besonders dadurch gefördert, dass der Staat die Finanzierung des Bereiches der Bildung massiv abbaut.
Der Berliner Senat will 142 Millionen Euro, das bedeutet ca. 10% des Budgets der Berliner Hochschulen, kürzen. Hierdurch fallen beispielsweise Gelder für dringend notwendige Bau- und Sanierungsmaßnahmen weg, Seminare, Tutorien und teils ganze Professuren werden gestrichen und vermutlich 20.000 Studienplätze werden wegfallen.
Dass weniger Geld in Bildungseinrichtungen wie Hochschulen fließt, zeigt also seine konkreten Auswirkungen:
Bildung wird nicht nur an ihrer Qualität abnehmen, sondern auch immer unzugänglicher für die breite Bevölkerung werden. Dies reiht sich nahtlos in den zurzeit vom deutschen Staat durchgeführten Sozialabbau ein; in den wichtigsten sozialen Bereichen nimmt er finanzielle Kürzungen vor.
Gleichzeitig sehen wir, dass immer mehr Gelder in Aufrüstung und Militarisierung gesteckt werden. Hier ist der Staat anscheinend sehr bereit, durch zum Beispiel Aufhebung der Schuldenbremse und die Bereitstellung von Sondervermögen, Extra- Meilen zu gehen.
Besonders Bildungseinrichtungen spielen hier eine zentrale Rolle; an Hochschulen wird für militärische Zwecke geforscht, Forschungsprojekte finden durch Fördergelder der NATO und Bundeswehr statt und es gibt deutsche Unis die durch Aktien von Rüstungsunternehmen profitieren.
Hochschulen werden also zum Instrument der staatlichen Militarisierung.
Um dies zu verhindern gibt es eigentlich die sogenannte „Zivilklausel“, durch welche sich Unis und Hochschulen dazu verpflichten, nicht für militärische Zwecke zu forschen.
Erschreckenderweise haben nur 76 von 422 Hochschulen eine Zivilklausel.
Die FU/HU und die HTW gehören nicht dazu.
Wir fordern deshalb die Einführung einer Zivilklausel an allen Hochschulen Deutschlands und mehr Geld für Bildung!
Wir wollen nur für Frieden forschen und Bildung für Alle! Lern uns kennen und werde aktiv!

Tuition fees are getting higher and higher, canteen prices are rising, shared flat costs are higher than ever, and our wallets are getting emptier and emptier.
Being a student has always been expensive, but we can see that studying is becoming increasingly difficult for most young people to afford.
This is partly due to the general rise in the cost of living, but it is particularly exacerbated by the fact that the state is massively cutting back on funding for education.
The Berlin Senate wants to cut €142 million, which is approximately 10% of the budget for Berlin’s universities. This will result in the loss of funds for urgently needed construction and renovation measures, for example, and seminars, tutorials and, in some cases, entire professorships will be cancelled, and an estimated 20,000 university places will be lost.
The fact that less money is flowing into educational institutions such as universities is therefore having a concrete impact:
Not only will the quality of education decline, but it will also become increasingly inaccessible to the general population. This fits in seamlessly with the social cuts currently being implemented by the German state, which is making financial cuts in the most important social areas.
At the same time, we are seeing more and more money being poured into armament and militarisation. Here, the state seems very willing to go the extra mile, for example by lifting the debt brake and providing special funds.
Educational institutions in particular play a central role here; universities are conducting research for military purposes, research projects are being funded by NATO and the German Armed Forces, and there are German universities that profit from shares in arms companies.
Universities are thus becoming an instrument of state militarisation.
To prevent this, there is actually the so-called ‘civil clause’, through which universities and colleges commit themselves not to conduct research for military purposes.
Alarmingly, only 76 of 422 universities have a civil clause.
The FU/HU and the HTW are not among them.
We therefore demand the introduction of a civil clause at all universities in Germany and more money for education!
We only want to conduct research for peace and education for all! Get to know us and get involved!
