10 Jahre Bizim Kiez
und noch immer „unverdränglich”!
Im Frühsommer 2015 versammelte sich erstmals die Nachbarschaft im Wrangelkiez, um gegen die Kündi gung des Gemüseladens „Bizim Bakkal“ zu protestieren.
Aus wöchentlichen Kundgebungen wurde eine Bewe- gung für eine solidarische Stadt, die viel bewirkt hat.
Leider sind wir längst nicht am Ziel: Der Mietendeckel wurde gekippt, das Vorkaufsrecht praktisch abge schafft, Eigenbedarfskündigungen sind allgegenwärtig, die Mieten steigen weiter drastisch und immer mehr Kleingewerbe ist von Verdrängung bedroht, während gleichzeitig Millionen Quadratmeter Büro flächen in der Stadt leer stehen. Daher:
Kommt zusammen! Wir bleiben widerständig.
Kommt zusammen – für lebendige Nachbarschaften und eine solidarische Stadt! 💛💚

10 years of Bizim Kiez
and still ‘unbeatable’!
In early summer 2015, the neighbourhood gathered for the first time in Wrangelkiez to protest against the closure of the vegetable shop ‘Bizim Bakkal’.
Weekly rallies turned into a movement for a city based on solidarity, which has achieved a lot.
Unfortunately, we are still a long way from our goal: the rent cap has been overturned, the right of first refusal has been practically abolished, evictions for personal use are omnipresent, rents continue to rise dramatically and more and more small businesses are threatened with displacement, while at the same time millions of square metres of office space in the city stand empty. Therefore:
Come together! We remain resistant.
Come together – for vibrant neighbourhoods and a city based on solidarity! 💛💚
