Sozialkürzungen im Namen der Sicherheit
in Zeiten der Aufrüstung und Militarisierung
Kürzungen, zeitlich befristete Projektmittel und prekäre Arbeits- und Versorgungsbedingungen kennen wir schon länger.
Doch momentan passieren diese Kürzungen, während gleichzeitig enorme Summen in Rüstungskonzerne und z.B. Startups zur Entwicklung von neuen KI-Kriegsgeräten investiert werden.
An unseren Arbeitsplätzen sind die Folgen der Kürzungen im Sozialen- und Gesundheitsbereich zunehmend zu merken. Damit einher geht ein politischer Werte-Wandel, der von uns als Sozialarbeitende verlangt, autoritäre und ordnungspolitische Maßnahmen umzusetzen.
Im April hat der paritätische ein „internes Arbeitspapier“ geleaked, in dem Vertreter von Bund, Ländern und kommunalen Spitzenverbänden massive Sozialkürzungen von mindestens 8,6 Milliarden Euro planen.
Solche „Papiere“ sind meist unglaublich lang und nicht besonders übersichtlich.
Wir wollen uns unter Kolleg:innen darüber austauschen, welche Bereiche betroffen sind, und was mögliche Auswirkungen davon sind:
Wo bemerkt ihr in eurem Arbeitsbereich bereits Veränderungen, und wie geht ihr damit an euren Arbeitsplätzen um?
Nach einem kurzen Input wollen wir uns über Erfahrungen und Umgang mit Kürzungen austauschen und Ideen sammeln und diskutieren, wie wir uns proaktiv dagegen wehren können.

Social cuts in the name of security
in times of rearmament and militarisation
We have long been familiar with cuts, time-limited project funding and precarious working and care conditions.
But at the moment, these cuts are taking place whilst, at the same time, enormous sums are being invested in defence contractors and, for example, start-ups developing new AI-powered weapons.
In our workplaces, the consequences of the cuts in the social and health sectors are becoming increasingly apparent. This goes hand in hand with a shift in political values that requires us, as social workers, to implement authoritarian and regulatory measures.
In April, the Paritätischer leaked an ‘internal working paper’ in which representatives from the federal government, the states and local authority umbrella organisations are planning massive cuts to social services amounting to at least 8.6 billion euros.
Such ‘papers’ are usually incredibly long and not particularly clear.
We want to discuss with colleagues which areas are affected and what the potential consequences might be:
Where are you already noticing changes in your area of work, and how are you dealing with them in your workplaces?
After a brief introduction, we want to share experiences and discuss how to deal with cuts, as well as gather and discuss ideas on how we can proactively resist them.
