Ein Jahr nach der Umbenennung kommen wir wieder zusammen.
Die Amostraße ist mehr als ein neuer Straßenname. Sie ist ein Ort des Lernens, der Erinnerung und der politischen Auseinandersetzung.
Der gemeinsame Kampf um die Umbenennung und die Sichtbarmachung von Widerstand im öffentlichen Raum ist erst der Anfang einer umfassenden Auseinandersetzung mit der deutschen Kolonialvergangenheit.
Dieser Kampf ist gelebte Solidarität und zeigt, wie wichtig dekoloniale und antirassistische Kämpfe gerade heute sind.
Mit Musik, Gesprächen und einer kleinen Überraschung wollen wir gemeinsam feiern, erinnern und weiterdenken.
Am 23. August 2026 von 15 bis 17 Uhr am Hausvogteiplatz.
Bereits ab 14:30 Uhr startet die Black Joy Ride Parade vom Brandenburger Tor und macht einen Zwischenstopp beim Amo Fest.
Wie in den vergangenen Jahren ist während des Amofests auch der Amo-Salon im Institut für Europäische Ethnologie der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin geöffnet.
Ihr findet ihn in der Anton-Wilhelm-Amo-Straße 40/41, 10117 Berlin.

One year after the renaming, we are coming together again.
Amostraße is more than just a new street name. It is a place of learning, remembrance and political debate.
The collective struggle for the renaming and for making resistance visible in public spaces is only the beginning of a comprehensive engagement with Germany’s colonial past.
This struggle is solidarity in action and demonstrates just how important decolonial and anti-racist struggles are, especially today.
With music, discussions and a little surprise, we want to celebrate, remember and reflect together.
On 23 August 2026 from 3 pm to 5 pm at Hausvogteiplatz.
The Black Joy Ride Parade sets off from the Brandenburg Gate at 2.30 pm and will make a stop at the Amo Fest.
As in previous years, the Amo Salon at the Institute for European Ethnology at Humboldt University of Berlin will also be open during the Amo Fest.
