Die Internationale Solidaritätsbewegung (ISM) wurde im August 2001 nach der Zweiten Intifada von Aktivist*innen aus Palästina, Israel und den USA gegründet, die vor Ort gegen Angriffe israelischer Siedler Widerstand leisteten.
Seit 25 Jahren sind Aktivist*innen in Palästina in Gebieten präsent, in denen Palästinenser*innen besonders durch Angriffe von Siedlern und Landraub gefährdet sind.
Das ISM ist eine von Palästinensern geführte Bewegung mit Sitz im Westjordanland (und früher im Gazastreifen).
Das Bedürfnis nach stärkerer Koordination und Führung durch und mit palästinensischen Aktivist*innen bildet das Rückgrat der Bewegung, die Seite an Seite mit internationalen Unterstützer*innen arbeitet, die sich dem Kampf gegen Apartheid und ethnische Säuberung in ihrer Heimat angeschlossen haben.
Anlässlich des 25-jährigen Jubiläums der ISM-Arbeit vor Ort freut sich ISM Deutschland, euch einzuladen, den Berichten des palästinensischen Aktivisten Mohammad Hureini aus Massafer Yatta (Gründer von „Youth of Sumud“) sowie von Aktivist*innen zuzuhören, die kürzlich vor Ort im Westjordanland im Einsatz waren.
Wir werden über die Notwendigkeit solidarischer Präsenz und Dokumentation angesichts der aktuellen Eskalation von Landraub und Gewalt sprechen, über die Bedeutung der Koordination mit den Palästinensern selbst und über den Bedarf an mehr internationalen Aktivist*innen vor Ort.

18:30 Uhr: Einführung in die ISM durch Mitbegründerin Neta Golan (Live-Videokonferenz)
LIVE:
19:00–20:00 Uhr: Moderiertes Gespräch mit Mohammad Hureini (aus Massafer Yatta, Palästina) und Aktivist*innen, die kürzlich vor Ort im Westjordanland waren. Im Anschluss folgt eine Fragerunde.
20:30 Uhr: Nach dem Gespräch tritt das Free Palestine Orchestra auf
Essen und Getränke: Full Spoon Collective (vegane Optionen); der Erlös kommt dem ISM zugute.

The International Solidarity Movement was founded in August 2001 after the Second Intifada by activists from Palestine, Israel and the USA, who were active on the ground resisting against Israeli settler attacks.
For 25 years activists have maintained a presence in Palestine in areas where Palestinians are particularly at risk from settler attacks and land theft.
The ISM is a Palestinian-led movement based in the West Bank (and formerly in the Gaza Strip). The need for greater coordination and leadership by and with Palestinian activists has been the backbone of the movement, working alongside international supporters who joined the struggle against apartheid and ethnic cleansing in their homeland.
For the 25th Anniversary of ISM work on the ground, ISM Germany is excited to invite you to hear the accounts of Palestinian activist Mohammad Hureini from Massafer Yatta (founder of Youth of Sumud) and activists that have recently been on the ground in the West Bank.
We will discuss the need for solidarity presence and documentation amidst the current escalation of land theft and violence, the importance of coordination with Palestinians themselves, and the need for more international activists on the ground.

19:00-20:00: Moderated conversation with Mohammad Hureini (from Massafer Yatta, Palestine) and activists who were recently on the ground in the West Bank. Q&A will follow.
20:30: The Free Palestine Orchestra will perform after the talk
Food and drinks: Full Spoon Collective (vegan options); proceeds will benefit the ISM.

The event is wheelchair accessible. It is on the ground floor, there is a wheelchair-accessible toilet. The ground in front of the venue is made of rough cobblestone. Seating is provided. Facilitators speak English and German.
