Während in Berlin und Brüssel über „Wiederaufbau“ in Syrien, Kooperation mit dem so genannten Übergangsregime und Milliardenhilfen verhandelt wird, werden marginalisierte Menschen im syrischen Kontext weiterhin barbarisch verfolgt und getötet.
Kurd*innen, Jesid*innen, Drus*innen, Alawit*innen und LGBTQIA+-Personen sind täglich von Vertreibung, Gewalt und Zerstörung ziviler Infrastruktur betroffen und zugleich droht die deutsche Politik, menschenrechtliche Standards zu unterlaufen.
EU-Kommissionspräsidentin Ursula von der Leyen hat nach Gesprächen mit dem syrischen Interimspräsidenten Ahmad al-Sharaa ein Finanzpaket in Höhe von rund 620 Millionen Euro für die Jahre 2026 und 2027 zugesagt, offiziell für Wiederaufbau und humanitäre Hilfe in Syrien.
Diese Millionenhilfe wird verhandelt, während weiterhin Gewalt eskaliert und die Bevölkerung barbarisch getötet wird.
Zugleich stehen deutsche Abschiebungen in unsichere Regionen sowie die Normalisierung der Zusammenarbeit mit rassistischen, islamistischen und menschenfeindlichen Akteuren auf der politischen Agenda – eine Politik, die Fluchtursachen in den Transit- oder Herkunftsländern verschärft und geflüchtete Menschen erneut in Lebensgefahr bringt.
Das Beispiel Syrien und Al Sharaa ist hierbei kein Einzelfall, auch in Afghanistan und Iran herrschen brutale islamistische Theokratien, die Minderheiten und Frauenrechte angreifen und mit denen trotzdem für Abschiebungen kooperiert wird und die dadurch legitimiert werden.

While negotiations are underway in Berlin and Brussels about ‘reconstruction’ in Syria, cooperation with the so-called transitional regime and billions in aid, marginalised people in Syria continue to be barbarically persecuted and killed.
Kurds, Yazidis, Druze, Alawites and LGBTQIA+ people are affected daily by displacement, violence and the destruction of civilian infrastructure, while at the same time German politics threatens to undermine human rights standards.
After talks with Syrian interim president Ahmad al-Sharaa, EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has promised a financial package of around 620 million euros for 2026 and 2027, officially for reconstruction and humanitarian aid in Syria.
This millions in aid is being negotiated while violence continues to escalate and the population is being barbarically killed.
At the same time, German deportations to unsafe regions and the normalisation of cooperation with racist, Islamist and misanthropic actors are on the political agenda – a policy that exacerbates the causes of flight in transit or origin countries and once again puts refugees‘ lives at risk.
The examples of Syria and Al Sharaa are not isolated cases. Afghanistan and Iran are also ruled by brutal Islamist theocracies that attack minorities and women’s rights, yet Germany continues to cooperate with them on deportations, thereby legitimising them.
