Dann könnte dieser Theaterworkshop genau das Richtige für dich sein.
Das Theater der Unterdrückten (TO) bezeichnet Theaterformen, die der brasilianische Theaterpraktiker Augusto Boal in den 1970er Jahren zunächst in Brasilien und später in Europa entwickelt hat.
Boals Techniken nutzen das Theater als Mittel zur Förderung des sozialen und politischen Wandels und orientierten sich ursprünglich an der linksradikalen Politik und später an der Ideologie der linken Mitte.
Im Theater der Unterdrückten wird das Publikum aktiv, indem es als „spect-actors“ die Realität, in der es lebt, erforscht, zeigt, analysiert und verändert (Wikipedia-Eintrag zum „Theater der Unterdrückten“).
Boal vertrat die Ansicht, dass „wir alle Theater sind“, weil wir als menschliche Wesen alle handeln können, uns selbst beim Handeln beobachten und auf der Grundlage dessen, was wir sehen, unser Handeln verändern können.
Veränderungen in unserem Handeln können wiederum die Welt um uns herum verändern. Das Theater der Unterdrückten bietet einen Prozess zur Erprobung von Aktionen, die die Gruppen, Gemeinschaften und sozialen Systeme, in denen wir arbeiten und leben, verändern können. Es ist eine Probe für den Wandel (centerforappliedtheatre.org).

The Theatre of the Oppressed (TO) describes theatrical forms that the Brazilian theatre practitioner Augusto Boal first elaborated in the 1970s, initially in Brazil and later in Europe.
Boal’s techniques use theatre as means of promoting social and political change in alignment originally with radical-left politics and later with centre-left ideology.
In the Theatre of the Oppressed, the audience becomes active, such that as „spect-actors“ they explore, show, analyse and transform the reality in which they are living (Wikipedia entry to „theatre of the oppressed“).
Boal believed that “we are all theatre” because, as human beings, we can all act, watch ourselves acting, and based on what we see, change what we do.
Changes in our actions can, in turn, change the world around us. Theatre of the Oppressed provides a process for testing actions which can transform the groups, communities, and social systems in which we work and live. It is a rehearsal for change (centerforappliedtheatre.org).
