Diese Woche findet anschließend an die Soliküche ein Input und Filmscreenig des Dokumentarfilms „Hêza“ statt. Der Film erzählt die beeindruckende Geschichte von Suad Murad Xelef, die während des Genozids an den Ezîd*innen verschleppt wurde, die Flucht schaffte und später zur Kommandantin der êzîdischen Volksverteidigungseinheit YJŞ wurde.
Es werden noch immer mehr als 2.700 Menschen vermisst. Viele Massengräber wurden noch nicht geöffnet und das Trauma sitzt tief.
Der IS ist noch nicht vollständig besiegt, und gleichzeitig sehen wir in Şengal, wie der Versuch, eine demokratische, selbstverwaltete und kollektiv organisierte Gesellschaft zu errichten, weiterhin sowohl vom türkischen als auch vom irakischen Staat angegriffen wird.
Und genau deshalb ist es wichtig sich mit den Geschichten auseinanderzusetzen, die Geschichte von den Feminiziden und die Geschichte des 74. Genozids an den Êzîd*innen, damit sich dieser Teil der Geschichte nicht wiederholt!

This week, the solidarity kitchen will be followed by an input and film screening of the documentary ‘Hêza’. The film tells the impressive story of Suad Murad Xelef, who was abducted during the genocide against the Ezidis, managed to escape and later became the commander of the Ezidi People’s Defence Unit (YJŞ).
More than 2,700 people are still missing. Many mass graves have not yet been opened and the trauma runs deep.
IS has not yet been completely defeated, and at the same time we see in Şengal how the attempt to establish a democratic, self-governing and collectively organised society continues to be attacked by both the Turkish and Iraqi states.
And this is exactly why it is important to deal with the stories, the story of the feminicides and the story of the 74th genocide against the Ezidis, so that this part of history does not repeat itself!
