Obwohl in den deutschen Medien die Berichterstattung über das zentrale Mittelmeer als tödliche Fluchtroute nahezu zum Stillstand gekommen ist, hat sich die Lage für Menschen auf der Flucht alles andere als verbessert.
Auch in den letzten Jahren sind dort tausende Menschen ums Leben gekommen.
Doch trotz politischen Gegenwinds:
RESQSHIP e.V. schafft es mit dem Segelschiff Nadir kontinuierlich auf dem zentralen Mittelmeer aktiv zu sein, um die Überfahrt nach Lampedusa für people on the move sicherer zu machen.
Nach einer kurzen Einführung in das Konzept von Nadir, die Arbeit von RESQSHIP e.V. und die aktuelle Situation, zeigen wir einen Film.
Diese Dokumentation begleitet einen dreiwöchigen Einsatz im April und Mai 2023 auf der Fluchtroute von Tunesien nach Lampedusa. Der 52-minütige Film folgt dem Einsatz auf See in chronologischer Reihenfolge und zeigt die Ereignisse im Kontext der politischen Situation Tunesiens.
Der Film wird in den Originalsprachen – Englisch, Deutsch, Italienisch und Französisch – mit englischen Untertiteln präsentiert.
Im Anschluss wird es Zeit für Fragen geben.

Although reporting in the German media on the Central Mediterranean as a deadly escape route has almost come to a standstill, the situation for people fleeing has done anything but improve.
Thousands of people have also lost their lives there in recent years.
But despite political headwinds:
RESQSHIP e.V. manages to be continuously active on the central Mediterranean with the sailing ship Nadir in order to make the crossing to Lampedusa safer for people on the move.
After a short introduction to the concept of Nadir, the work of RESQSHIP e.V. and the current situation, we will show a film.
This documentary accompanies a three-week operation in April and May 2023 on the migration route from Tunisia to Lampedusa. The 52-minute film follows the operation at sea in chronological order and shows the events in the context of the political situation in Tunisia.
The film will be presented in the original languages – English, German, Italian and French – with English subtitles.
There will be time for questions after the screening.
