Der Februar war nochmal eine Gelegenheit, die Geschichte von Schwarze Menschen hervorzuheben, insbesondere für uns Black Queers weil, Queer – ist Black History!
Unsere Soliparty markiert das Ende des Black History Month, aber sie signalisiert auch, dass wir in den kommenden Monaten sowohl als Einzelpersonen als auch als Schwarze und queere Community noch mehr politisch aktiver sein werden.
Sie ist auch ein Aufruf zum Handeln für alle und für unsere Allies.
Der BHM erinnert uns daran, dass unsere Geschichten ein Teil der Menschheit und Widerstandes sind. Vor allem wollen wir, dass der BHM mehr als nur ein einziger Monat im Jahr ist; viel mehr wollen wollenwir euch anregen eure Schwarze Geschichte über das ganze Jahr sichtbarer zu machen, mit allen Mitteln, die euch zur Verfügung stehen.
Die Tatsache, dass unsere Kulturen, Identitäten und Geschichte allzu oft reproduiziert werden, ohne das wir erwähnt werden oder darin vorkommen, zeigt, dass der BHM auch 100 Jahre später immer noch wichtig ist.
Denn auch 100 Jahre später ist das Leben Schwarzer Menschen von Vernichtung, Entmenschlichung und Auslöschung geprägt.
Schwarze Realitäten werden ausgelöscht und schlimmer noch, sie werden gerne weiß gewaschen.

February was another opportunity to highlight the history of Black people, especially for us Black Queers because, Queer – is Black History!
Our solidarity party marks the end of Black History Month, but it also signals that we will be even more politically active in the coming months, both as individuals and as Black and queer communities.
It is also a call to action for all and for our allies.
The BHM reminds us that our stories are a part of humanity and resistance. Above all, we want the BHM to be more than just a single month a year; much more, we want to encourage you to make your Black history more visible throughout the year, with all the means at your disposal.
The fact that our cultures, identities, and histories are all too often reproduced without being mentioned or featured in it shows that the BHM is also 100 years old is still important later.
Because even 100 years later, the lives of Black people are still marked by annihilation, dehumanization and extinction.
Black realities are erased and worse, they like to be whitewashed.
The BHM reminds us that our stories are a part of humanity and resistance.
