Vor 50 Jahren wurde die Arabische Demokratische Republik Sahara ausgerufen.
Seitdem behindern Spanien als ehemalige Kolonialmacht und Marokko systematisch ihre Entwicklung. Bis heute ist die Westsahara die letzte Kolonie Afrikas.
Die Geschichte des sahrauischen Volkes bleibt weiterhin geprägt von Gewalt, Plünderung und Vertreibung.
Doch ihre Geschichte zeichnet sich durch Widerstand aus, der auf den politischen und rechtlichen Grundlagen eines unabhängigen Staates basiert.
Eine Gruppe spanischer und saharauischer Expert*innen, darunter Jurist*innen und Aktivist*innen, wird die politischen und rechtlichen Aspekte des Befreiungskampfes eines Volkes diskutieren – von seiner Geschichte bis zu seiner Zukunft.
Die Diskussion wird die Bedeutung der Verfassung eines Staates und seiner internen sowie externen Entwicklung in den letzten 50 Jahren hervorheben.

Fifty years ago, the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic was proclaimed.
Since then, Spain, as the former colonial power, and Morocco have systematically hindered its development. To this day, Western Sahara remains Africa’s last colony.
The history of the Sahrawi people continues to be marked by violence, plunder and displacement.
But their history is also one of resistance, based on the political and legal foundations of an independent state.
A group of Spanish and Sahrawi experts, including lawyers and activists, will discuss the political and legal aspects of a people’s struggle for liberation – from its history to its future.
The discussion will highlight the importance of a state’s constitution and its internal and external development over the last 50 years.
