Die neue Dokumentation „The Cost of Growth“ (2025) räumt mit dem Mythos vom grenzenlosen und sog. „sauberen Wachstum“ in Europa auf.
Der Film macht schmerzhaft deutlich, dass unser aktuelles System auf systematischer Ausbeutung basiert.
Er legt die Finger in die Wunde und zeigt, wie eng ökologische Zerstörung mit Rassismus und kolonialen Machtstrukturen verknüpft ist – denn es sind oft marginalisierte Gemeinschaften und indigene Völker wie die Sápmi, die den höchsten Preis für unseren Profit zahlen.
Der Film zeigt auf, dass es einen radikalen Systemwandel braucht, um den Kapitalismus zu überwinden.

Who actually pays the price for our prosperity? 🌍💔
The new documentary “The Cost of Growth” (2025) debunks the myth of limitless and so-called “clean growth” in Europe.
The film makes it painfully clear that our current system is based on systematic exploitation.
It rubs salt into the wound and shows how closely ecological destruction is linked to racism and colonial power structures – because it is often marginalised communities and indigenous peoples, such as the Sápmi, who pay the highest price for our profit.
The film highlights that a radical systemic change is needed to overcome capitalism.
