Einladung: Vorführung des Dokumentarfilms „Fly in Power“ und Küfa am 16.03.2025
Im Gedenken an die Opfer der rassistischen und sexistischen Morde in Atlanta am 16. März 2021 und an die Betroffenen von antiasiatischem Rassismus in Deutschland.
Asiatisch-diasporische Menschen, BIPOCs und Sex- und Care-Arbeiter_innen sind herzlich eingeladen.

🕞 Ab 15:30 Uhr – Freiraum zum Gedenken
Es gibt kein festes Programm. Bringt mit, was ihr zum Gedenken braucht (z.B. Blumen, Kerzen, Räucherstäbchen) und nehmt euch den Raum, um in eurem eigenen Tempo zu trauern. Kommen Sie, wann es Ihnen passt.

Bitte kommt pünktlich zur Küfa und zur Filmvorführung, da der Platz sehr begrenzt ist.
Der Einlass erfolgt nach dem Prinzip „Wer zuerst kommt, mahlt zuerst“.
Covid-Care: Bitte kommen Sie getestet, wir werden auch Selbsttests in begrenzter Anzahl vor Ort anbieten. Wir werden auch Luftreiniger vor Ort haben.
Über den Film: „Fly in Power“ folgt der Gemeinschaft asiatischer und zugewanderter Massagesalon-Arbeiterinnen, Sexarbeiterinnen und Verbündeter im Red Canary Song und beleuchtet ihre Praktiken der Fürsorge, des Überlebens und der Gemeinschaft inmitten ihres Kampfes gegen das Gefängnis- und Menschenhandelssystem.
Der Film wird im Original in Englisch, Koreanisch und Mandarin mit englischen Untertiteln gezeigt.
Die Veranstaltung wird von Personen aus asiatischen Diasporagemeinschaften organisiert.

In memory of the victims of the racist and sexist murders in Atlanta on March 16, 2021 and those affected by anti-Asian racism in Germany.
Asian-diasporic people, BIPOCs, and sex- and care workers are cordially invited.
📍 Location: Statue of Peace in Berlin-Moabit (corner of Birkenstr./Bremerstr.)
🕞 From 03:30 pm – Free space for commemoration
There is no fixed program. Bring whatever you need to commemorate (e.g. flowers, candles, incense sticks) and take the space to grieve at your own pace. Come when it suits you.

Please come on time for the Küfa and screening since the space is very limited. Entry will be on first-come-first-serve basis.
Covid-Care: please come tested, we will also provide self-tests in limited numbers on site. We will also have air purifiers on site.
About the film: “Fly in Power” follows the community of Asian and migrant massage parlor workers, sex workers and allies in Red Canary Song and highlights their practices of care, survival and community in the midst of their struggle against the prison and human trafficking system.
The film will be shown in original English, Korean and Mandarin with English subtitles.
The event is organized by individuals from Asian diasporic communities.
