An diesem Donnerstag kommen wir zusammen, um den neu erschienenen Spielfilm „Palestine ’36“ anzuschauen.
Wie immer gibt es warmes veganes Essen und Getränke gegen eine Spende.
Mit dieser Veranstaltung wollen wir Geld sammeln, um die Rechtskosten für die Repressionen gegen einige unserer Genoss*innen zu decken.
Der Film spielt, wie der Titel schon andeutet, in Palästina im Jahr 1936. Während sich das zionistische Kolonialprojekt noch in seiner Anfangsphase befand, schloss sich die palästinensische Bevölkerung zum größten und längsten Aufstand gegen die 30-jährige britische Besatzung zusammen.
Der Film wird sowohl hochgelobt als auch kritisiert, und seine Vorführung ist in Jerusalem offiziell verboten.
Wir werden in einer kurzen Einleitung auf diese Aspekte eingehen und laden euch nach dem Film zu einer Diskussionsrunde ein.

This Thursday we will come together to watch the newly released drama movie „Palestine ’36“.
As always there will be warm vegan food and drinks for donation.
With the event we want to raise money for covering legal costs of repression against some comrades of us.
The movie plays as the title suggests in Palestine, during the year of 1936.
While the Zionist colonial project was still in its early birth phase, the Palestinian population was uniting in the largest and longest uprising against Britain’s 30-year occupation.
The movie is widely acclaimed and criticized, and its screening is officially banned in Jerusalem.
We will talk about these aspects in a brief intro and invite you for a round of discussion after the movie.
