Das preisgekrönte Dokudrama von der tunesischen Regisseurin Kaouther Ben Hania erzählt die wahre Geschichte eines 5-jährigen Mädchen aus dem Gazastreifen.
Hind und ihre Familie flohen am 29. Januar 2024 aus Gaza-Stadt, als ihr Auto von israelischen Streitkräften beschossen wurde. Dabei wurden alle ihre Verwandten getötet.
Hind Rajab blieb stundenlang allein im Auto zurück, während sie am Telefon mit Mitarbeitenden des Palästinensischen Roten Halbmond Kontakt hielt.

Das Schicksal von Hind Rajab steht stellvertretend für über 20.000 Kinder, die zwischen Oktober 2023 bis heute im Gazastreifen getötet wurden.

The award-winning docudrama by Tunisian director Kaouther Ben Hania tells the true story of a 5-year-old girl from the Gaza Strip.
Hind and her family fled Gaza City on 29 January 2024 when their car was fired upon by Israeli forces. All her relatives were killed in the attack.
Hind Rajab was left alone in the car for hours whilst she kept in contact with staff from the Palestinian Red Crescent over the phone.

Using a unique narrative style combining dramatised scenes with the original audio recordings of the emergency call, the film reconstructs the young girl’s final moments.
Hind Rajab’s fate is representative of over 20,000 children who have been killed in the Gaza Strip between October 2023 and the present day.
