Noch in diesem Sommer sollen in verschiedenen Stadtteilen Berlins Al-gestützte Videokameras installiert werden.
Die Berliner Polizei plant, am Kotti zu beginnen und dort im August/September dieses Jahres mit der Installation der Kameras zu starten.
Damit will der Berliner Senat die Kontrolle über die sieben „Gebiete mit erhöhter Kriminalität“ in Berlin verstärken.
Dafür sollen 3,9 Millionen Euro aus einem Sonderbudget ausgegeben werden. Während die Stadt die Mittel für soziale Dienste immer weiter kürzt, wird ein großer Batzen Geld für Repression und Überwachung bereitgestellt.
Nach dem Kotti soll die Warschauer Brücke als Nächstes an der Reihe sein.
Die fünf verbleibenden Gebiete wollen sie im nächsten Jahr abarbeiten.
NICHT MIT UNS
Wir brauchen keine Kameras, um unsere Viertel „sicherer“ zu machen.
Wir betrachten die Installation der Kameras als Angriff auf die Gesellschaft und werden nicht akzeptieren, dass wir in unserem Alltag vom Staat überwacht werden.
Wie wir gehört haben, hat die Polizei bereits begonnen, mit Ladenbesitzern und Vermietern zu sprechen, um Kameras an ihren Gebäuden anzubringen.
Lasst uns mit ihnen, mit unseren Nachbarn und unseren Kolleg*innen darüber sprechen, dass wir diese Überwachung nicht wollen.
Lasst uns laut sein, lasst uns aktiv werden!
Am 26. Juni findet eine weitere offene Versammlung statt, um darüber zu sprechen, wie wir diese Überwachung stoppen können.

Within this summer, Al based video cameras are supposed to be installed in different neighbourhoods in Berlin.
The Berlin cops plan to beginn at Kotti and start the installation of the cameras there in August/ September this year.
By this, the Berlin senate wants to enforce the control about the seven „areas of intensified criminality“ in Berlin.
For this, 3,9 million euro of special budget are supposed to be spent. While the city keeps cutting the funds of social services, a big pile of money is left for repression and surveillance.
After Kotti, Warschauer Brücke is supposed to be next.
The five missing areas, they want to work through next year.

We don’t need cameras to make our neighbourhoods more „safe“.
We see the installation of the cameras as an attack on society and will not accept, that we are surveilled by the state in our daily life.
As we heard, the cops already started to talk to shop owners and landlords to hang cameras on their buildings.
Let’s talk with them, with our neighbours and our colleagues about the fact, that we do not want this surveillance.
Let’s be loud, let’s get active!
