Wenn heute über den Iran gesprochen wird, geht es meist um Atomprogramme, Frauenproteste, Islamismus oder die Drohungen und Angriffe der USA und Israels.
Gleichzeitig wissen die wenigsten etwas über die Revolution 78/79, die iranische Linke und ihre brutale Zerschlagung.
Dabei lässt sich die Situation heute kaum verstehen, ohne einen Blick auf diese Geschichte zu werfen.
Beim ersten inter:Salon wollen wir deshalb Geschichte und Gegenwart zusammenbringen.
Gemeinsam schauen wir auf die Ursachen und den Verlauf der Revolution, die Rolle der iranischen Linken und die Entwicklung des Regimes.

When people talk about Iran today, the focus is usually on the nuclear programme, women›s protests, Islamism, or the threats and attacks of the United States and Israel.
At the same time, very few people know much about the 79/1978 Revolution, the Iranian left, and its brutal destruction.
Yet it is difficult to understand the situation today without looking at this history.
At the first inter:Salon, we therefore want to bring together past and present.
Together, we will look at the causes and course of the revolution, the role of the Iranian left, and the development of the regime.
Yes, it’s going to be hot tomorrow – but we’ve got it covered with air conditioning, fans, ice, good cheer and even better content, so come along! 🔥✊
