Als Internationalist*innen unterstützen wir das sozialistische Kuba im Kampf gegen den US-Imperialismus und die seit über 60 Jahren währende mörderische Blockade.
Trotz dieser massiven Beeinträchtigung hat sich das kubanische Volk viel erkämpft. Unter anderem findet politische Partizipation in den Betrieben statt, und Arbeiter*innen können bei der Produktion mitentscheiden.
Doch während die Kubaner*innen am 1. Mai für die Verteidigung ihrer Revolution und ihrer Arbeiter*innenrechte auf die Straße gehen, beginnt die Bundesregierung mit dem Abbau erkämpfter Rechte.
Rente und 8-Stunden-Tag sind dabei erst der Anfang: Während im Sozialen immer mehr gekürzt wird, schreitet die Militarisierung voran.
Ein immer größerer Teil des Bundeshaushalts fließt in die Bundeswehr und in Kriegsvorbereitungen – statt in sichere Arbeitsplätze, gute Einkommen und gute Renten.
Es geht um die soziale Sicherheit der Menschen in Deutschland und um Frieden in der Welt.
Doch auch die Rechte der Arbeiter*innen Kubas sind in Gefahr: Die seit Januar 2026 in Kraft getretene absolute Öl-Blockade hat dramatische Folgen und gefährdet Menschenleben.
Deshalb ruft der Parteivorstand der Linken zu einer Demonstration und Kundgebung am 28. Juni 2026 in Berlin unter der Losung “Hände weg von Lateinamerika – Solidarität mit Kuba” auf.
Kommt am 28. Juni nach Berlin und unterstützt die Kubaner*innen im Kampf gegen den US-Imperialismus.

As internationalists, we support socialist Cuba in its struggle against US imperialism and the murderous blockade that has been in place for over 60 years.
Despite this massive hindrance, the Cuban people have achieved a great deal through struggle. Among other things, political participation takes place in the workplaces, and workers have a say in production decisions.
Yet whilst Cubans take to the streets on 1 May to defend their revolution and their workers’ rights, the German government is beginning to dismantle hard-won rights.
Pensions and the 8-hour working day are just the beginning: whilst social spending is being cut back more and more, militarisation is advancing.
An ever-increasing proportion of the federal budget is being channelled into the Bundeswehr and preparations for war – rather than into secure jobs, decent incomes and good pensions.
This is about the social security of people in Germany and about peace in the world.
But the rights of workers in Cuba are also under threat: the total oil blockade, which came into force in January 2026, is having dramatic consequences and endangering human lives.
That is why the executive committee of Die Linke is calling for a demonstration and rally on 28 June 2026 in Berlin under the slogan “Hands off Latin America – Solidarity with Cuba”.
Come to Berlin on 28 June and support the Cuban people in their struggle against US imperialism.
