Sexualisierte Gewalt gegen Frauen ist weltweit eine traurige Realität. In Kriegen wird sie gezielt als Waffe eingesetzt.
Im Rahmen des Internationalen feministischen Kampftages wollen wir in einem Podiumsgespräch sowohl historische als auch aktuelle Beispiele sexualisierter Gewalt in Kriegs- und Besatzungssituationen beleuchten:
Welche gesellschaftlichen und politischen Strukturen begünstigen diese Form der Gewalt?
Wie können Betroffene wirksam unterstützt werden?
Und welche Maßnahmen braucht es in Deutschland?
Der Veranstaltungsort ist in Moabit – ein Kiez, der sich seit Jahren für den Erhalt der Friedensstatue als Symbol gegen sexualisierte Gewalt als Kriegswaffe einsetzt.

Sexualised violence against women is a sad reality worldwide. It is deliberately used as a weapon in wars.
As part of the International Feminist Day of Struggle, we want to shed light on both historical and current examples of sexualised violence in war and occupation situations in a panel discussion:
Which social and political structures favour this form of violence?
How can those affected be effectively supported?
And what measures are needed in Germany?
The event will take place in Moabit – a neighbourhood that has been campaigning for years to preserve the peace statue as a symbol against sexualised violence as a weapon of war.
