Wir laden euch zu köstlichem Küfa und einer Filmvorführung von „THIS JUNGO LIFE“ ein, um Geld für einen Freund zu sammeln, der von den aktuellen und anhaltenden Repressionen gegen LGBTQ-Personen im Senegal und in Gambia betroffen ist.
„THIS JUNGO LIFE“ (2024, Marokko, 78 Min.) ist eine Zusammenarbeit zwischen dem Filmemacher David Fedele und einer Gruppe junger Flüchtlinge und Asylsuchender aus dem Sudan und dem Südsudan, die außerhalb von Rabat am Meer leben.
„Jungo“ ist eine Bezeichnung, die traditionell saisonalen Landarbeitern aus dem Sudan gegeben wird und die mittlerweile auch von Flüchtlingen, Asylsuchenden und Migranten auf der Flucht übernommen wurde.
Der vollständig mit Handys gedrehte Film dokumentiert die weniger sichtbaren alltäglichen Auswirkungen der EU-Politik der Externalisierung der Grenzen.

We invite you for delicious Küfa and film screening of THIS JUNGO LIFE, in order to raise money for a friend who is affected by the current and ongoing crackdown on LGBTQ persons in Senegal and the Gambia.
THIS JUNGO LIFE (2024, Morocco, 78min.) is a collaboration between filmmaker David Fedele, and a group of young refugees and asylum seekers from Sudan and South Sudan, who are living outside of Rabat by the sea.
“Jungo“ is a name traditionally given to seasonal agricultural workers from Sudan, which is now also adopted by refugees, asylum seekers and migrants on the road.
Filmed entirely on phones, the film documents the lesser seen everyday impact of EU border externalization policies.
