Vor 14 Jahren fing die Frauenrevolution Rojava an.
In diesen Jahren hat sich die Revolution schon gegen zahlreiche militärische Invasionen und Angriffe des islamischen Staates verteidigt, was vor allem eine Errungenschaft der Frauenorganisationen und der Volksverteidigungseinheiten der YPJ war.
Nach der letzten Angriffswelle im Januar 2026, in der unter anderem die USA, Israel und Türkei sich zum Ziel gesetzt hatten, die Revolution in Nordostsyrien zu zerschlagen, konnte ein Waffenstillstand verhandelt werden.
Seitdem laufen Verhandlungen zwischen der syrischen Übergangsregierung und der Autonomen Selbstverwaltung in Rojava, die eine Integration der Institutionen der Selbstverwalltung vorsieht.
Auch wenn es aktuell keine militärischen Angriffe auf die Revolution gibt, so im Rahmen der Verhandlungen ökonomischer Druck auf die Bevölkerung aufgebaut und die Regierung unter Al Jolani versucht die Rechte der Frauen zu untergraben:
Weiterhin steht nicht fest, ob die YPJ anerkannt wird, die eine essenzielle Kraft in der Wahrung der Frauenrechte ist, und auch in anderen Bereichen kämpfen die Institutionen von Frauen um ihren Erhalt.
Diese Angriffe auf die Errungenschaften der Revolution machen internationale Solidarität notwendiger denn je, und die Beteiligung an der aktuellen Kampagne „Wir sind alle YPJ“ mit Aktionen, Demonstrationen und Infoveranstaltungen.
Deshalb wollen wir am 19. Juli auf die Straße gehen, um die Errungenschaften der Frauenrevolution zu zelebrieren und zu verteidigen!

The Rojava women’s revolution began 14 years ago.
Over the years, the revolution has defended itself against numerous military invasions and attacks by Islamic State, which was primarily an achievement of the women’s organisations and the YPJ People’s Defence Units.
Following the latest wave of attacks in January 2026 – in which the US, Israel and Turkey, amongst others, had set out to crush the revolution in north-eastern Syria – a ceasefire was negotiated.
Since then, negotiations have been underway between the Syrian transitional government and the Autonomous Administration in Rojava, with a view to integrating the institutions of self-administration.
Although there are currently no military attacks on the revolution, economic pressure is being exerted on the population as part of the negotiations, and the government under Al Jolani is attempting to undermine women’s rights:
Furthermore, it remains unclear whether the YPJ – which is an essential force in safeguarding women’s rights – will be recognised, and in other areas too, women’s institutions are fighting for their survival.
These attacks on the achievements of the revolution make international solidarity more necessary than ever, as does participation in the current “We Are All YPJ” campaign through actions, demonstrations and information events.
That is why we want to take to the streets on 19 July to celebrate and defend the achievements of the women’s revolution!
