Antifaschist:in Maja soll verurteilt werden.
Majas Prozess ist Teil des sogenannten Budapest-Komplexes, eine der größten Repressionswellen gegen Antifaschist:innen Europa.
Ausgangspunkt waren Angriffe auf Faschist:innen am Rande des nationalsozialistischen Gedenktags „Tag der der Ehre“ im Februar 2023 in Budapest.
In der Folge starteten Ungarn und Deutschland eine internationale Hetzjagd, in deren Zusammenhang Maja Anfang Dezember 2023 in Berlin festgenommen wurde.
Maja saß ein halbes Jahr in der JVA Dresden in Untersuchungshaft, bis zur Nacht vom 27.06.2024: Maja wurde nachts von vermummten Einheiten aus der Zelle gezerrt, rechtswidrig per Helikopter nach Österreich geflogen und von dort nach Ungarn übergeben.
Dem deutschen Staat ist es so wichtig Antifaschismus zu bekämpfen, dass er sogar seine eigenen Regeln bricht.
Seit mehr als 500 Tagen wird Maja in Ungarn in menschenunwürdiger Einzelhaft gefangen gehalten. Und das in einem Land, für das Maja als nicht binäre Person nicht existiert.
Maja drohen bis zu 24 Jahre Haft. In diesem politischen Schauprozess unterstreichen vergangene Ordnungswidrigkeiten, wie eine Ruhestörung aus dem Jahr 2018 Mamas „kriminelle Laufbahn“ und Faschist:innen treten als Zeug:innen auf.
Voraussichtlich soll am 22. Januar ein Urteil verkündet werden.
Die Haftbedingungen sind menschenfeindlich: Unterbringung in einem Männergefängnis, kaum Tageslicht und tägliche, grundlos gewaltvolle Nacktkontrollen.
Maja zog 2025 in den Hungerstreik für bessere Bedingungen und eine Rückholung.
Diese Entwicklung passiert nicht isoliert:
Die KI-Überwachung der Gesellschaft, wie durch das neue Polizeigesetz in Berlin, die Einordnung des Antifaschismus als terroristisch in den USA und Ungarn, sollen diejenigen bekämpfen, die sich dem System nicht fügen, während der Faschismus erstarkt.
Die Repression richtet sich gegen uns alle. Maja soll als Exempel zur Einschüchterung vorgeführt werden, doch Maja ist ein Beispiel des Widerstands.

Anti-fascist Maja is to be sentenced.
Maja’s trial is part of the so-called Budapest Complex, one of the largest waves of repression against anti-fascists in Europe.
It began with attacks on fascists on the fringes of the National Socialist memorial day ‘Day of Honour’ in February 2023 in Budapest.
As a result, Hungary and Germany launched an international manhunt, in the course of which Maja was arrested in Berlin in early December 2023.
Maja was held in pre-trial detention at Dresden Prison for six months until the night of 27 June 2024, when she was dragged from her cell by masked units, illegally flown to Austria by helicopter and handed over to Hungary.
The German state is so keen to combat anti-fascism that it is even breaking its own rules.
For more than 500 days, Maja has been held in inhumane solitary confinement in Hungary. And this in a country where Maja, as a non-binary person, does not exist.
Maja faces up to 24 years in prison. In this political show trial, past misdemeanours, such as a disturbance of the peace in 2018, underscore Maja’s ‘criminal career,’ and fascists appear as witnesses.
A verdict is expected to be announced on 22 January.
The conditions of detention are inhumane: accommodation in a men’s prison, hardly any daylight and daily, gratuitously violent strip searches.
In 2025, Maja went on hunger strike for better conditions and repatriation.
This development is not happening in isolation:
AI surveillance of society, as implemented by the new police law in Berlin, and the classification of anti-fascism as terrorism in the USA and Hungary, are intended to combat those who do not conform to the system, while fascism grows stronger.
The repression is directed against all of us. Maja is to be paraded as an example to intimidate others, but Maja is an example of resistance.
