🎬 Die Congo Basin Alliance lädt herzlich zum Film „Mikuba“ von Petna Ndaliko Katondolo ein.
🌐 Der Film führt tief hinein in die Kobaltminen von Kolwezi in der Demokratischen Republik Kongo. Er zeigt, wie der globale Wettlauf um grüne Energie einen hohen Preis für Land und Menschen fordert.
Denn Kobalt wird insbesondere für Batterien, Elektroautos und erneuerbare Technologien gebraucht.
Die Hersteller dieser Produkte nehmen Menschenrechtsverletzungen, Kinderarbeit, Gesundheits- und Umweltrisiken in Kauf.
💬 Im Film wird Swahili und Französisch gespochen, es gibt Englische Untertitel.
🥗 Vor der Filmvorführung gibt es eine Küfa – ab 15 Uhr wird gemeinsam gekocht. Essen wird ab ca. 18 Uhr serviert und der Film startet um 19:30 Uhr mit anschließender Diskussion.

🎬 The Congo Basin Alliance cordially invites you to the film „Mikuba“ by Petna Ndaliko Katondolo.
🌐 The film takes you deep into the cobalt mines of Kolwezi in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He shows how the global race for green energy is demanding a high price for land and people.
Cobalt is particularly needed for batteries, electric cars and renewable technologies.
The manufacturers of these products accept human rights violations, child labor, health and environmental risks.
💬 Swahili and French are spoken in the film, and there are English subtitles.
🥗 Before the film screening there is a kitchen – from 3 p.m. we cook together. Food is served from around 6 p.m. and the film starts at 7:30 p.m. with subsequent discussion.
