In der zweiten Folge von „Living Anti-Capitalistically, How?” reflektieren wir mit Julio Linares, dem Forscher für universelles Grundeinkommen, über die Bedeutung von Bargeld.
Spätestens seit der Coronavirus-Pandemie sind Kartenzahlungen und mobile Zahlungen alltäglich geworden, und der Staat zwingt uns zunehmend zu digitalen Zahlungen per Bezahlkarte und ähnlichem. Was steckt dahinter? Mit dem Wirtschaftsanthropologen und Aktivisten Julio Linares lernen wir die Macht des Bargeldes kennen und wie man den Kapitalismus verlangsamen kann.
Am Ende der Reihe wird es eine Radiosendung auf Cashmere Radio mit den Inhalten der vergangenen Workshops geben. Die Gespräche im Workshop werden zu diesem Zweck audioaufgezeichnet. Mit der Teilnahme erklären sich die Teilnehmenden mit der Aufzeichnung und Verwendung für die Radiosendung einverstanden.
Julio César Linares ist ein in Berlin lebender Community-Organizer und Wirtschaftsanthropologe, geboren im heutigen Guatemala. Er hat einen MSc der London School of Economics, wo er studierte und mit David Graeber an Projekten arbeitete. Er ist als PR-Beauftragter für das Basic Income Earth Network (BIEN) tätig.
Sein neuestes Buch „Decolonizing Money“ wird nächstes Jahr bei Pluto Press erscheinen. Darin präsentiert er eine demokratische Vision von Geld, die über den freien Markt und den Staat hinausgeht.
Aiko Okamoto versteht sich als Vermittlerin zwischen der Straße und der Kunst. Sie arbeitet bei Vierte Welt als Technikerin und setzt die Wünsche verschiedener Künstler aus allen Bereichen um.

In the second episode of “Living Anti-Capitalistically, How?” we reflect on the importance of cash with Julio Linares, the researcher of universal basic income.
At the latest from the coronavirus pandemic, card and mobile payments have become commonplace, and the state is increasingly forcing us to make digital payments through Bezahlkarte and the like. What’s behind this? With the economic anthropologist and activist Julio Linares, we learn about the power of cash and how to slow down capitalism.
At the end of the series, there will be a radio programme on Cashmere Radio with the content of the past workshops. The conversations at the workshop will be audio recorded for this purpose. By taking part, participants agree to the recording and use for the radio show.
Julio César Linares is a Berlin-based community organizer and economic anthropologist born in what is now Guatemala. He holds an MSc from the London School of Economics, where he studied and worked on projects with David Graeber. He works as a public relations officer for the Basic Income Earth Network (BIEN).
His latest book, “Decolonizing Money,” will be published next year by Pluto Press, in which he presents a democratic vision of money that goes beyond the free market and the state.
Aiko Okamoto sees herself as a medium to bring people between the street and art closer together. She works in Vierte Welt as a technician and realizes the wishes of various artists from all walks of life.
