Migrantifa Lesekreis: Palestine and Marxism 📚
In der nächsten Sitzung des Lesekreis zu Palestine and Marxism lesen wir das vierte Kapitel “Politics and ideology in the Middle East”.
Wir gehen unter anderem darauf ein, weshalb die imperialistischen Mächte so ein Interesse am Nahen Osten haben, wie daraus geopolitische Konflikte entstehen und wie aus marxistischer Sicht Ideologien wie arabischer Nationalismus und islamistischer Fundamentalismus zu verstehen sind.
Anschließend diskutieren wir, wie eine emanzipatorische antiimperialistische Bewegung sich dazu verhalten soll.
Lest bitte vor der Sitzung das vierte Kapitel.
Alle sind herzlich eingeladen, Vorwissen und Kenntisse zum Thema sind nicht notwendig. Kommt gerne auch wenn ihr bei letzter Sitzung nicht teilnehmen konntet.

Migrantifa Reading Circle: Palestine and Marxism 📚
In the next meeting of the reading circle on Palestine and Marxism, we will read the fourth chapter, ‘Politics and ideology in the Middle East.’
Among other things, we will discuss why the imperialist powers are so interested in the Middle East, how this leads to geopolitical conflicts, and how ideologies such as Arab nationalism and Islamist fundamentalism can be understood from a Marxist perspective.
Afterwards, we will discuss how an emancipatory anti-imperialist movement should respond to this.
Please read the fourth chapter before the meeting.
Everyone is welcome to attend; prior knowledge of the topic is not necessary. Feel free to come even if you were unable to attend the last session.
