Der Film erzählt die Geschichte von 𝑴𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒌 𝑴𝒆𝒔𝒍𝒆𝒉, einer jungen palästinensischen Boxerin, deren Mut, Träume und Stärke Yasser über Monate hinweg inspiriert haben.
Tragischerweise wurde Malak mit nur 20 Jahren bei einem israelischen Luftangriff getötet.
Left Hook handelt nicht nur vom Boxen – es ist eine Geschichte von Überleben, Würde und Hoffnung unter Belagerung und ein Tribut an ein viel zu jung verlorenes Leben.
Wir möchten auch darauf hinweisen, dass der ✊🏽 Internationale Tag zur Beseitigung von Gewalt gegen Frauen am 25. Nov stattfindet.
Malaks Geschichte erinnert uns daran, wie dringend wir für die Sicherheit, Würde und Rechte von Frauen weltweit kämpfen müssen.

Join us for a special solidarity screening of Left Hook, a moving documentary by Gaza filmmaker 𝒀𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒓 𝑨𝒃𝒖 𝑾𝒂𝒛𝒏𝒂.

The film follows 𝑴𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒌 𝑴𝒆𝒔𝒍𝒆𝒉, a young Palestinian boxer whose courage, dreams, and resilience inspired Yasser over months of filming.
Tragically, Malak was killed in an Israeli airstrike at just 20 years old. Left Hook is not just about boxing—it is a story of survival, dignity, and hope under siege, and a tribute to a life cut far too short.
We also want to acknowledge that the ✊International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women is on 25th November, and Malak’s story reminds us of the urgent need to fight for the safety, dignity, and rights of women everywhere.
