HÄNDE WEG porträtiert den Widerstand der Mieterschaft der Remisenwohnungen in der Koloniestr. 10 in Berlin-Wedding gegen den Abriss ihres Lebensraums.
Die Bedrohung von Wohn- und Freiräumen durch Investoren und Spekulanten ist in Berlin nichts Neues. Als Anfang Januar diesen Jahres ohne Ankündigung die Bagger im Hof standen, schlug die Hausgemeinschaft Alarm.
Der Kurzfilm HÄNDE WEG zeigt deutlich, dass es hier um mehr geht als den Abriss eines Hofes, nämlich den Erhalt von Orten des Zusammenlebens, des Austauschs und der Solidarität.
Zugleich dokumentiert der Film das skrupellose Vorgehen eines Investors, der mit allen Mitteln versucht, sein Vorhaben durchzusetzen.

HÄNDE WEG portrays the resistance of the tenants of the Remisenwohnungen apartments at Koloniestr. 10 in Berlin-Wedding against the demolition of their living space.
The threat to living spaces and open spaces posed by investors and speculators is nothing new in Berlin. When excavators appeared in the courtyard without warning at the beginning of January this year, the community sounded the alarm.
The short film HÄNDE WEG clearly shows that this is about more than just the demolition of a courtyard, namely the preservation of places of coexistence, exchange and solidarity.
At the same time, the film documents the unscrupulous actions of an investor who is trying to push through his plans by any means necessary.
