Maja ist eine*r der Angeklagten im sog. Budapest-Verfahren. Rund einem Dutzend Antifaschist*innen werden europaweit in diesem Zusammenhang Angriffe auf Neonazis im Februar 2023 beim sogenannten „Tag der Ehre“ vorgeworfen. Der „Tag der Ehre“ ist ein jährliches Neonazigroßevent in Budapest, bei dem Faschos aus ganz Europa der Wehrmacht huldigen.
Maja wurde letztes Jahr von den deutschen Behörden nach Ungarn ausgeliefert, um Maja im totalitären Ungarn den Prozess machen zu können. Dort herrschen unmenschliche Haftbedingungen.
Am 05.06. geht der Prozess gegen Maja weiter. Die Richter werden vom extrem rechten Präsidenten Viktor Orbán kontrolliert, dieser hatte erst kürzlich die Durchführung aller CSD’s in Ungarn unter Strafe gestellt. Für Maja als nonbinäre Person stellt das politische Klima der Orbán-Regierung eine zusätzliche Bedrohung dar.
Maja droht eine Haftstrafe von zehn bis 24 Jahren.
Um dieser Willkür etwas entgegenzusetzen ist Maja am 5. Juni in den Hungerstreik getreten.
Wir werden es nicht akzeptieren, dass sie Maja weiter wegsperren!
Wir solidarisieren uns mit Majas Kampf hinter Gittern und vor Gericht – Es ist unser aller Kampf für eine Welt frei von Unterdrückung!

Stop the ideological justice trial in Hungary!

Maja is one of the defendants in the so-called Budapest trial. Around a dozen anti-fascists across Europe are accused of attacking neo-Nazis in February 2023 during the so-called ‘Day of Honour’. The ‘Day of Honour’ is an annual neo-Nazi event in Budapest where fascists from all over Europe pay homage to the Wehrmacht.
Maja was extradited to Hungary last year by the German authorities so that she could be tried in totalitarian Hungary. The conditions of detention there are inhumane.
The trial against Maja will continue on 5 June. The judges are controlled by the far-right President Viktor Orbán, who recently made it a criminal offence to hold any Pride events in Hungary. For Maja, as a non-binary person, the political climate of the Orbán government poses an additional threat.
Maja faces a prison sentence of ten to 24 years.
To counter this arbitrariness, Maja went on hunger strike on 5 June.
We will not accept that they continue to lock Maja away!
