✨ Filmvorführung und Panel: Wessen Gedenken? Wessen Rechte?
Der Welt-Rom*nja-Tag erinnert an den ersten Welt-Romani-Kongress 1971, bei dem Rom*nja ihre Selbstbezeichnung, Flagge und Stimme bestimmten.
Er steht für Erinnerung an Verfolgung, aber ebenso für Präsenz, Würde und Selbstrepräsentation in der Gegenwart.
Doch welche Rechte haben Rom*nja heute tatsächlich – und wie zeigt sich gegenwärtige Entrechtung?
Vor dem Hintergrund der anhaltenden Mahnmals-Debatte und des nicht abgeschlossenen Projekts der Deutschen Bahn widmen wir uns aktuellen erinnerungspolitischen Konflikten.
Gezeigt wird der Kurzfilm „Unterbrechung des Gedenkens“ von Estera Stan. Anschließend diskutieren wir auf einem Panel strukturelle und erinnerungspolitische Fragen sowie die Bedeutung von Verantwortung und Gegenwart.

World Rom*nja Day commemorates the first World Romani Congress in 1971, at which Rom*nja determined their own self-designation, flag and voice.
It stands for the remembrance of persecution, but equally for presence, dignity and self-representation in the present.
But what rights do Rom*nja actually have today – and how does the current deprivation of rights manifest itself?
Against the backdrop of the ongoing memorial debate and the unfinished Deutsche Bahn project, we will address current conflicts surrounding the politics of remembrance.
The short film “Interruption of Remembrance” by Estera Stan will be screened. Following this, we will hold a panel discussion on structural and remembrance-related issues, as well as the significance of responsibility and the present.
