ON MY LAND ist ein filmisches Zeugnis des palästinensischen Kampfes. Der sehr persönliche Dokumentarfilm begleitet Mohamad Zwahras Weg – von seiner Kindheit in einer Bauernfamilie bis hin zu seinem Leben als erfahrener Aktivist und Filmemacher.
ON MY LAND verknüpft Geschichten über die tiefe Verbundenheit seiner Familie mit dem Land, verschiedene Formen des Widerstands gegen die Verdrängung sowie die Dokumentation dieses andauernden Kampfes.
Durch Mohamads Augen erleben wir die tiefe Bedeutung des Landes und der Olivenbäume für die Palästinenser – und die Standhaftigkeit eines Volkes, das trotz Militärbesatzung und Landraub nicht aufgibt und bleibt.
Im Anschluss an die Filmvorführung findet eine Online-Fragerunde mit Mohamad Zwahra über Palästina, die Situation im besetzten Westjordanland und insbesondere in seinem Dorf Al-Masara, sowie über seine Erfahrungen als Aktivist und Filmemacher statt.

Join us for a screening of ON MY LAND by Palestinian activist and filmmaker Mohamad Zwahra. ON MY LAND is a cinematic testament to the Palestinian struggle, as seen through the eyes of the filmmaker.
This deeply personal documentary follows Mohamad’s life from a young boy growing up in a farming family to a seasoned activist and filmmaker.
The film weaves together stories of his family’s deep-rooted connection to the land, his early experiences in resistance, and his journey as a visual storyteller.
Through his lens, we witness the profound significance of the land to Palestinians, and the resilience of a people determined to defend their homeland.
Following the screening, there will be an online Q&A with Mohamad Zwahra about Palestine, the situation in the occupied West Bank and especially his village Al-Masara, and his experiences as an activist and filmmaker.
