📣Veranstaltungshinweis: „Solidarität unter Beschuss: Deutschlands Unterdrückung der Palästina Bewegung“📣
Besonders seit Oktober 2023 haben deutsche Behörden Israel unbeirrt politische, diplomatische und materielle Rückendeckung bei seinem Völkermord in Gaza geboten, flankiert von weitreichenden repressiven Maßnahmen gegen die Palästinasolidaritätsbewegung im Inland.
Dazu gehören nicht nur Demonstrationsverbote und Polizeigewalt, sondern auch Hetzkampagnen, die Ausladung aus kulturellen Events, Repressalien am Arbeitsplatz sowie die Instrumentalisierung des Migrations- und Asylrechts.
In der Gesamtschau ergeben diese Maßnahmen einen repressiven Rahmen, mit dem in Deutschland beinahe jede Form der effektiven Solidarität mit Palästina kriminalisiert wird und umfassendere bürgerliche Freiheiten eingeschränkt werden.
Die Medien, Nichtregierungsorganisationen (NROs) und Teilen der politischen Linken spielen dabei eine wichtige Rolle bei der Aufrechterhaltung dieses Klimas.
Wie werden diese Repressionen und Kriminalisierung legitimiert, wie beispielsweise bei dem Palästina Kongress in Berlin? Was ist die Funktion dieser Maßnahmen und was sagen sie über unsere Gesellschaft aus? Welche Kontinuität zeigen sie auf? Und was können wir dagegen tun?

📣Event announcement: ‘Solidarity under attack: Germany’s suppression of the Palestine movement’📣
Since October 2023 in particular, German authorities have unwaveringly provided Israel with political, diplomatic and material support for its genocide in Gaza, accompanied by far-reaching repressive measures against the Palestine solidarity movement at home.
These include not only bans on demonstrations and police violence, but also smear campaigns, exclusion from cultural events, reprisals in the workplace and the instrumentalisation of migration and asylum law.
Taken together, these measures create a repressive framework that criminalises almost any form of effective solidarity with Palestine in Germany and restricts broader civil liberties.
The media, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and parts of the political left play an important role in maintaining this climate.
How are these repressive measures and criminalisation legitimised, as in the case of the Palestine Congress in Berlin? What is the function of these measures and what do they say about our society? What continuity do they reveal? And what can we do about it?
