Die internationale Musik-Formation “Adar Ensemble” gibt nun es seit gut 10 Jahren.
Es präsentiert v.a. kurdische Melodien in verschiedenen kurdischen Dialekten. Auch einige internationale Lieder gehören zum Repertoire.
Die Musik lässt breiten Raum für freie Improvisationen und die Verflechtung mit Blues- und Rockelementen ist charakteristisch für ihren Sound.
Das Adar Ensemble spielt sowohl traditionelle kurdische (und armenische) Lieder als auch viele eigene Kompositionen. Mal wild und temperamentvoll und wieder zärtlich und gefühlvoll.
Die Band versteht ihre Musik als kleinen Beitrag gegen Unterdrückung und für die Vielfalt.

The international music group “Adar Ensemble” has been around for a good 10 years now.
It primarily presents Kurdish melodies in various Kurdish dialects. The repertoire also includes a number of international songs.
The music leaves plenty of scope for free improvisation, and the interweaving of blues and rock elements is characteristic of their sound.
The Adar Ensemble plays both traditional Kurdish (and Armenian) songs as well as many of their own compositions. Sometimes wild and spirited, at other times tender and soulful.
The band sees their music as a small contribution against oppression and in support of diversity.
