Revolution gegen Reform
Ausstellungseröffnung und Vortrag zum 500. Jahrestag der deutschen Bauernkriege.
Reform oder Revolution. Müntzer gegen Luther. Die deutschen Bauernkriege stehen sinnbildlich für den Kampf um gesellschaftliche Erneuerung gegen Kirche, Adel und einen Kapitalismus in den Kinderschuhen.
Die Kommission für Bildung und Geschichte des Stadtteilkomitees Wedding möchte mit einer kleinen Ausstellung und einem Einführungsvortrag im Vorjahr des großen 500 jährigen Jubiläums darauf aufmerksam machen weshalb schon Engels diesem Ereignis ein ganzes Buch widmete und bis heute Martin Luther gefeiert und Thomas Müntzer als Rebell und Räuber verdammt wird.

Revolution against reform
Exhibition opening and lecture on the 500th anniversary of the German Peasants‘ Wars.
Reform or revolution. Müntzer against Luther. The German Peasants‘ Wars symbolise the struggle for social renewal against the church, the nobility and a capitalism in its infancy.
The Commission for Education and History of the Wedding District Committee would like to draw attention to why Engels dedicated an entire book to this event and why Martin Luther is still celebrated today and Thomas Müntzer is condemned as a rebel and robber with a small exhibition and an introductory lecture in the year before the big 500th anniversary.
