Die Rechte hat sich in den vergangenen 15 Jahre in ihrem Erscheinungsbild und ihren Strategien neue Zielgruppen zu erschließen massiv gewandelt. Die gewachenen Möglichkeiten die sich mit der Entstehung verschiedener sozialen Medien aufgetan haben, sind ein zentraler Faktor in dieser Entwicklung.
Die Hochzeit der Coronapandemie hat eine Vielzahl neuer reaktionärer Medienakteure zu Tage gefördert. Einge tauchen kaum noch auf, andere wiederum konnten sich halten.
Leonard Jäger, bekannt unter dem Namen „Ketzer der Neuzeit“ gehört zu denen die ihren Followerstamm festigen und ausbauen konnten. Bekannt geworden mit seinen Videos in der Corona Pandemie begegnet uns der Berliner Influencer mit antifeministischen und queerfeindlichen Takes zunehmend in den sozialen Netzwerken, auf linken und queeren Veranstaltungen sowie bei Straßeninterviews. Das Ziel dieser Interviews ist es, per spontaner Befragung und nachträglichem Schnitt jedwede Argumentation für geschlechtliche Vielfalt oder für Gleichstellung als ablehnenswert darzustellen.
Zu Jägers Netzwerk zählen eine Vielzahl anderer rechter Influencer, Maskulinisten, Medien wie NIUS und Junge Freiheit aber auch christliche Fundis. Letzteren ist Leonard Jäger selber zuzurechnen, da sich einen Großteil seiner veralteten und reaktionären Denkweisen aus diesem Ideologiepool speist.
Anti-trans, anti-queere und antifeministische Positionen müssen hier als klare (An)politisierungspipline vor allem für eine sehr junge Zielgruppe begriffen werden, die aktuell durch AfD-Boomer nur schwer zu erschließen ist/war. Seine Zielgruppe ist altersmäßig divers, er fischt jedoch gezielt unter jüngere Socialmedianutzer*innen nach Zustimmung.
Mit seiner hohen Followerzahl, der beschriebenen Themensetzung und Schnittstellenfunktion zwischen verschiedenen reaktionären Spektren stellt sein Wirken eine Gefahr dar. Denn er ist aktuell nicht der einzige junge Fascho oder Reaktionär der sich in diesem Feld betätigt.
Der Vortrag am 16.10 soll einen Einblick in Themenwahl, Netzwerke und Rhetorik des rechten Influencers geben. Wir wollen zudem zur Diskussion anregen, was dagegen unternommen werden kann.

Over the past 15 years, the right has undergone massive changes in its image and its strategies for tapping into new target groups. The opportunities that have opened up with the emergence of various social media are a key factor in this development.
The height of the coronavirus pandemic has brought to light a multitude of new reactionary media players. Some have barely emerged, while others have managed to survive.
Leonard Jäger, known as the „heretic of modern times“, is one of those who have been able to consolidate and expand their follower base. Having made a name for himself with his videos during the coronavirus pandemic, we are increasingly coming across the Berlin influencer with anti-feminist and queer-hostile takes on social media, at left-wing and queer events and during street interviews. The aim of these interviews is to use spontaneous questioning and subsequent editing to present any arguments in favour of gender diversity or equality as worthy of rejection.
Jäger’s network includes a large number of other right-wing influencers, masculinists, media such as NIUS and Junge Freiheit as well as Christian fundies. Leonard Jäger himself belongs to the latter group, as a large part of his outdated and reactionary mindset is fuelled by this ideological pool.
Anti-trans, anti-queer and anti-feminist positions must be understood here as a clear (an)politicisation pipeline, especially for a very young target group that is/was currently difficult to reach with AfD boomers. His target group is diverse in terms of age, but he specifically fishes for approval among younger social media users.
With his high number of followers, the topics described above and his function as an interface between various reactionary spectrums, his activities pose a danger. He is currently not the only young fascist or reactionary active in this field.
The lecture on 16 October will provide an insight into the right-wing influencer’s choice of topics, networks and rhetoric. We also want to encourage discussion about what can be done to counter this.
