Dieses Massaker hat sich in der kollektiven Erinnerung der Palästinenser bis heute als Synonym zur Vertreibung/Nakbeh eingebrannt, weil er einer der wichtigsten Meilensteine der zionistischen Bewegung in Palästina war, auf dem Weg zur Vervollständigung des Vertreibungsprojektes der palästinensischen Bevölkerung aus dem Land und anschließend zur Entstehung des Staates Israels“.

This massacre has remained etched into the collective memory of Palestinians to this day as a synonym for the expulsion/Nakbeh of the Palestinian people.
