Ein Dokumentarfilm über die Arbeit der „League of Revolutionary Black Workers“ und ihren Kampf gegen rassistische Ungleichheit und Ausbeutung in Detroits Automobilindustrie.
Anhand von Interviews mit Mitgliedern der Bewegung, Aufnahmen aus dem Inneren der Fabriken sowie Szenen von Flugblattaktionen und Streikposten begleitet der Film ihre Bemühungen, eine unabhängige Organisation schwarzer Arbeiter*innen aufzubauen.
Ausgehend von einer historischen Montage, die den Weg von der Sklaverei bis zur Entwicklung und Organisation der Arbeiterklasse nachzeichnet, beleuchtet der Film zudem die zentrale Rolle schwarzer Arbeiter in der US-Wirtschaft.

A documentary about the work of the League of Revolutionary Black Workers and their struggle against racial inequality and exploitation in Detroit’s auto industry.
Through interviews with members of the movement, footage from inside the factories, and scenes of leafleting and picket lines, the film follows their efforts to build an independent Black workers‘ organization.
Beginning with a historical montage that traces the history from slavery to the development and organization of the working class, the film also highlights the central role of Black workers in the U.S. economy.
