Der Film spielt während des palästinensischen Aufstands von 1936 unter britischem Mandat und begleitet Yusuf auf seinen Reisen zwischen seinem Heimatdorf und Jerusalem.
Anhand intimer persönlicher Geschichten beleuchtet der Film Widerstand, politische Umbrüche und die menschlichen Folgen der Kolonialherrschaft.
Mit „Palestine on Screen“ präsentieren wir jeden Monat einen Film mit Bezug zu Palästina und schaffen so Raum für palästinensische Geschichten, Perspektiven und Filmkultur.
