‘Police state? Not with us. Fight police violence loudly!’ on the International Day Against Police Violence
We would like to cordially invite you to our event ‘Police state? Not with us. Fight police violence loudly!’ on Sunday, 15 March 2026 at 5:00 p.m.
Because while social benefits are being cut, freedom of expression and assembly restricted, and people deported en masse, the state continues to arm itself:
Brutal police violence is being legitimised, video surveillance and AI-supported data analysis expanded, the final ‘rescue’ shot introduced, and new instruments of repression installed.
Criminalisation, control and authoritarian restructuring are advancing – but we say: Not with us!
So let’s network, exchange ideas, enjoy delicious food together and get organised.
♿️ The venue is wheelchair accessible.
Programme:
We will begin with a brief introduction to the General Security and Public Order Act (ASOG) and the expansion of police powers. This will explain what has changed specifically and what this means for us in our everyday lives.
This will be followed by a meal provided by Thai Food Sisters to break the fast and enjoy each other’s company.
From around 6:45 p.m., we will start with three parallel discussion rooms where we can explore topics in greater depth together:
1. Discussion room: What can you do if you are a victim of racist police violence?
2. Discussion room: How can you take political and legal action against ASOG?
3. Discussion room: AI and surveillance in public spaces. How can we develop counterstrategies?
🗣 The event is free of charge and will be held in German. If required, we will arrange for whispered translation into English.
The event will conclude with music by Tausi @souljahsista_berlin and an opportunity to learn about the alliance ‘Polizei im Nacken – Kniefixierung verbieten’ (Police on Your Neck – Ban Knee Restraints) and KOP.
We look forward to seeing you there!
