Am 5. Dezember 2025 wurde im Bundestag das neue Wehrdienstgesetz beschlossen, die bis dahin suspendierte Wehrpflicht ist also vorerst auf „freiwilliger Basis“ wiedereingeführt.
Doch aus antifaschistischer Perspektive ist die Wehrplicht von Grund auf abzulehnen. Sie ist kein neutrales Instrument, sondern ein zutiefst reaktionäres, der autoritären Logik von Staat und Kapital verhaftetes Projekt.
Wir laden ein zu einer Diskussionsveranstaltung, die eine Kritik der Wehrpflicht aus einigen zentralen Blickwinkeln linker Theoriebildung betrachtet.
Gemeinsam ist allen Perspektiven die antifaschistische Grundthese:
Die Wehrpflicht ist historisch und strukturell mit nationalistischer Mobilmachung, der Unterordnung des Individuums unter eine imaginierte Volks- und Schicksalsgemeinschaft kapitalistischer Durchsetzung und der Vorbereitung kapitalistischer Kriege verbunden.
Sie ist kein „Dienst an der Gesellschaft“, sondern ein Dienst am Machtapparat des bürgerlichen Staates, welcher unsere Gesellschaft in Krisen und Kriege führt.
Gemeinsam wollen wir diskutieren:
Wie können wir der romantisierenden Kriegspropaganda für den „Dienst an der Waffe“ eine schlagkräftige, theoretisch fundierte Kritik entgegensetzen? Wie verbinden wir die Ablehnung der Wehrpflicht mit dem Kampf gegen den erstarkenden Faschismus?
Kommt vorbei, diskutiert mit und organisiert den Widerstand gegen jede Form militaristischer Zwangsdienste!

On 5 December 2025, the new Military Service Act was passed in the Bundestag, meaning that compulsory military service, which had been suspended until then, has been reintroduced on a ‘voluntary basis’ for the time being.
However, from an anti-fascist perspective, compulsory military service must be rejected outright. It is not a neutral instrument, but a deeply reactionary project rooted in the authoritarian logic of the state and capital.
We invite you to a discussion event that examines a critique of compulsory military service from several central perspectives of left-wing theory.
Common to all perspectives is the fundamental anti-fascist thesis:
Conscription is historically and structurally linked to nationalist mobilisation, the subordination of the individual to an imagined community of destiny and capitalist enforcement, and the preparation for capitalist wars. It is not a ‘service to society,’ but a service to the power apparatus of the bourgeois state, which leads our society into crises and wars.
Together we want to discuss:
How can we counter the romanticising war propaganda for ‘service in the armed forces’ with a powerful, theoretically sound critique? How do we combine the rejection of conscription with the struggle against rising fascism?
