Seit fast zwei Jahren tobt der Gaza-Krieg.
Das Vorgehen der Netanjahu-Regierung ist barbarisch.
Systematisch werden Wohnungen, Krankenhäuser, Schulen und andere zivile Einrichtungen zerstört.
Zehntausende wurden erschossen oder zu Tode gebombt, fast die gesamte Bevölkerung innerhalb des Küstengebiets vertrieben.
Ziel ist es laut des israelischen Verteidigungsminister Katz, die gesamte Bevölkerung Gazas zu internieren, um »den Auswanderungsplan umzusetzen«.
Kurzum: die israelische Regierung beabsichtigt, einen Großteil der palästinensischen Bevölkerung in Gaza loszuwerden – entweder durch Vertreibung oder Tod.
Unterdessen hat sie angekündigt, auch das Westjordanland annektieren zu wollen.
Das alles findet quasi vor den Augen der Weltöffentlichkeit statt – und wirft Fragen auf:
Warum hält die Bundesregierung so unverbrüchlich an Israel fest?
Kann Palästina jemals von kolonialer Unterdrückung befreit werden?
Wir wollen diese Fragen aus historischer Perspektive und vor dem Hintergrund aktueller Interessen diskutieren.

The Gaza war has been raging for almost two years.
The actions of the Netanyahu government are barbaric.
Homes, hospitals, schools, and other civilian facilities are being systematically destroyed.
Tens of thousands have been shot or bombed to death, and almost the entire population within the coastal area has been displaced.
According to Israeli Defense Minister Katz, the goal is to intern the entire population of Gaza in order to “implement the emigration plan.”
In short, the Israeli government intends to get rid of a large part of the Palestinian population in Gaza – either through expulsion or death.
Meanwhile, it has announced its intention to annex the West Bank as well.
All of this is taking place before the eyes of the world—and raises questions:
Why does the German government remain so steadfastly committed to Israel?
Can Palestine ever be freed from colonial oppression?
We want to discuss these questions from a historical perspective and against the backdrop of current interests.
