Am 20. Juni, dem Weltgeflüchtetentag, laden wir zu einer Kundgebung und zum gemeinsamen Lesen auf dem Oranienplatz ein.
Weil an Europas Grenzen weiterhin Menschen sterben, das Asylrecht ausgehöhlt wird und auch hier Rassismus zum Alltag gehört, wollen wir Widerstand leisten, indem wir gemeinsam lesen, zuhören, uns vernetzen und zeigen, dass Solidarität mehr ist als ein Wort.
Mit der Präsentation der „Letters of Resistance“ tragen wir persönliche Erfahrungen in Form von Briefen zusammen, die Menschen mit dem Grenz- und Abschieberegime Europas gemacht haben.
Die Texte zeigen, was Geflüchtete in Europa erleben und welche unmenschlichen Konsequenzen die aktuelle Asyl- und Migrationspolitik für die Betroffenen hat.
Außerdem wird sichtbar, welchen strukturellen Ausschlüssen und alltäglichen Kämpfen Geflüchtete in Deutschland ausgesetzt sind, von Arbeitsverboten über Duldung bis hin zu systematischem Rassismus.
Wir nutzen den Oranienplatz am 20.6. für Begegnung, Vernetzung und gemeinsame Solidarität.

On June 20th, World Refugee Day, we invite you to a rally and public reading at Oranienplatz.
As people continue to die at Europe’s borders, asylum rights are being eroded, and racism is part of everyday life here too, we want to resist — by reading together, listening, connecting, and showing that solidarity is more than just a word.
With the presentation of the „Letters of Resistance“, we bring together personal experiences in the form of letters written by people who have faced Europe’s border and deportation system.
These texts reveal what refugees go through in Europe and the inhumane consequences of current asylum and migration policies.
They also shed light on the structural exclusion and daily struggles refugees face in Germany — from bans on working and temporary residence status (Duldung) to systemic racism.
On June 20th, Oranienplatz becomes a place for meeting, networking, and shared solidarity.
