Der Dannenröder Forst ist ein rund 250 Jahre alter Mischwald in der Nähe von Marburg, der über 1.000 Hektar aus Buchen und Eichen umfasst.
November 2020. Ein Teil des Waldes wird gerodet, um Platz für die Autobahnstrecke A49 zu machen. Eine Schneise der Zerstörung ragt durch den Wald.
3 Monate besetzen Aktivist*innen die Flächen, bis sie von der Polizei gewaltvoll geräumt werden. Bilder, die einen sofort an andere Fälle wie den Hambacher Forst denken lassen.
Regisseur Klaus Sparwasser war dort und dokumentiert das Leben der Aktivist*innen in seinem Dokumentarfilm System Change.

The Dannenröder Forest is a 250-year-old mixed forest near Marburg, covering over 1,000 hectares of beech and oak trees.
In November 2020, part of the forest is being cleared to make way for the A49 motorway. A path of destruction cuts through the forest.
Activists occupy the land for 3 months until it is violently cleared by the police. Images that immediately bring to mind other cases such as the Hambach Forest.
Director Klaus Sparwasser was there and documents the lives of the activists in his documentary film System Change.
Followed by a discussion with the director Klaus Sparwasser and activists
