Viele haben schon mal etwas von den Zapatistas gehört – denn sie sind ein besonderes Beispiel im weltweiten Kampf für ein würdiges und freies Leben.
Die indigene Befreiungsbewegung in Chiapas, im Süden Mexikos, findet in Gemeinschaftlichkeit Selbstorganisation und Autonomie Lösungen für die dringlichsten Probleme.
Seit 31 Jahren treffen die Wege, die sie beschreiten auch weltweit auf großes Gehör. Fragend voranschreitend schaffen sie eine Gesellschaft, die sich nach Fähigkeiten und Bedürfnissen der Leute richtet und das Leben mit der Würde behandelt, die es verdient hat.
Wir hatten die Möglichkeit, die Zapatistas im Rahmen einer Reihe an internationalen Treffen der Rebellion und Widerständigkeit zu besuchen und wollen unsere Erfahrungen teilen.
Wir werden über unsere Reise erzählen, auf die gegenwärtige Situation in Chiapas und die Entwicklung der zapatistischen Autonomie.
Schließlich wollen wir darüber ins Gespräch kommen wie wir die Zapatistas unterstützen können und was für eine Bedeutung ihr Kampf für uns hier hat und gemeinsam Abendessen.

Many people have heard of the Zapatistas – because they are a special example in the global struggle for a dignified and free life.
The indigenous liberation movement in Chiapas, in the south of Mexico, finds solutions to the most urgent problems through community self-organization and autonomy.
For 31 years, the paths they have taken have also been well received worldwide. By asking questions, they are creating a society that is based on people’s abilities and needs and treats life with the dignity it deserves.
We had the opportunity to visit the Zapatistas as part of a series of international meetings of rebellion and resistance and want to share our experiences.
We will talk about our trip, the current situation in Chiapas and the development of Zapatista autonomy.
Finally, we want to talk about how we can support the Zapatistas and what their struggle means for us here and have dinner together.
